Why Visit Gino’s East Magnificent Mile
This is the Gino’s East flagship: three floors at 162 E Superior St, one block east of Michigan Avenue, close to where two taxi drivers decided in 1966 that the Magnificent Mile needed a deep dish pizzeria. Every dining room is covered in signatures, doodles and messages left by guests, and you are welcome to add your own.
Come for a classic deep dish lunch between shopping stops, a family dinner after the observation deck, or a night out with a show at The Comedy Bar on the third floor. In spring, summer and fall the rooftop terrace opens for deep dish and a cold beer above Superior Street.
Planning for a group? The private third floor seats 148 with its own stage and bar, the second floor has five semi-private rooms, and the whole building can host receptions of up to 500 guests.

How long does a deep dish pizza take?
Deep dish is baked to order, so plan on a longer bake than a thin crust pizza. Many guests order their pizza with their drinks and start with an appetizer.
Is the rooftop open?
The rooftop terrace is open in spring, summer and fall, weather permitting. It can also be booked for private events (76 seated).
Can I write on the walls?
Yes. Signing the walls is a Gino’s East tradition, and our dining rooms are covered in decades of guest graffiti.
